Our platform serves purely as an advertising and listing hub. Any interaction or transaction that results from a listing is conducted entirely and independently between the buyer and seller.
2. User Responsibility
By using this platform, you agree and acknowledge that:
- You are solely responsible for any transactions or communications you initiate through PrivateArms.co.za.
- You will comply with all applicable South African laws, including but not limited to the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000, the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, and all other relevant legislation.
- You are solely responsible for verifying the legitimacy and compliance of any item listed or purchased, and for ensuring that you meet all legal requirements when posting, selling, or buying regulated items.
- PrivateArms.co.za is not liable for any damages, losses, disputes, criminal investigations, or legal issues arising from listings or transactions conducted between users.
3. Firearms, Ammunition & Pellet Guns
- Firearm and ammunition transactions are strictly between private individuals or licensed dealers and interested buyers. All applicable provisions of the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000 must be followed, including but not limited to background checks, proper licensing, secure storage, and lawful possession.
- We do not process payments for, nor do we store or distribute, any firearms or ammunition.
- Users are fully responsible for ensuring they possess valid licenses and are complying with legal restrictions before listing or acquiring firearms.
- PrivateArms.co.za accepts no responsibility for the legality, condition, or authenticity of any items listed.
- Users listing or selling airguns and pellet guns, particularly those over 5.5mm (.22 caliber), must be aware that such items may fall under the Firearms Control Act and require licensing. Compliance is the sole responsibility of the seller.
4. Prohibited Listings
You may not list or advertise any item that:
- Is illegal under South African law.
- Violates the Firearms Control Act or any other applicable legislation.
- Promotes violence, hate speech, unsafe practices, or criminal activity.
- Involves counterfeit goods, stolen items, or fraudulent listings.
PrivateArms.co.za reserves the right to remove any listing or ban users at our discretion if content is found to be inappropriate, illegal, or non-compliant.
5. Monetization and Fees
PrivateArms.co.za generates revenue through:
- Paid promotion of classified listings.
- Paid directory listings for licensed dealers.
- Commission on bookings for training events, courses, and workshops.
All payments made to PrivateArms.co.za are for advertising and promotional services only and not for physical goods.
6. Limitation of Liability
PrivateArms.co.za, its owners, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for:
- Any losses, damages, legal claims, injuries, or disputes resulting from transactions or interactions between users.
- Misrepresentation, fraudulent behavior, or non-compliance by users.
- Criminal investigations or enforcement actions arising from illegal user conduct.
By using this platform, you expressly agree to indemnify and hold PrivateArms.co.za harmless from any such issues.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PrivateArms.co.za and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, legal costs, or proceedings arising from:
- Your use of the platform.

However, all users are reminded that firearm transactions in South Africa are heavily regulated, and any non-compliance may result in criminal prosecution. We encourage users to:
- Consult the Firearms Control Act before engaging in any sale.
- Ensure that transfers of licensed firearms are processed legally through the South African Police Service.
- Avoid transactions involving items or individuals who may not be legally permitted to trade in such goods.
